                                    Teej

Teej is a genetic festival for women.All the woman wear red sares,bangles,tika,flowers and go to pray god in morning.Teej is a festival celebrated by a nepali woman for a long life of her husband.

                           Teej is also known as haritalika teej .This is a main festival among a Nepali woman.They dance flok song and sing also. They take barta for their husband and they didnot drink a glass of watet also.It is celebrated on the month of Ashar and third day of Bhadra.They dance in street and make all happy .They all friend meet in one place and eat dar also.Their relatives , family also call them to enjoy teej and to eat dar.These day it is becoming expensive to celebrate teej as the people seem to be competing in inviting relatives and friends for the dar eating and spending more for others ritual practices.

                          All the people didnot celebrate teej but most of the people do.Like Brahmin,Chhetri etc they celebrate it nicely but newar doesnot celebrate teej festival.But also they are interested in teej.
